A Fragile Balance: Risks and Scenarios for Asia.
On May 31, 2026, our analytical center held its first large-scale conference, “Security Prospects in Asia: Challenges and Forecasts,” which became a significant event for the expert community. The event received a record 305 applications, indicating high interest in the announced theme. From these, 30 top speakers were selected, representing 20 countries, including Pakistan, Russia, Azerbaijan, China, India, Japan, Turkey, and other states. Such broad geographical representation made it possible to examine regional security issues from different perspectives, which is especially important amid contemporary geopolitical turbulence.
The conference took place against the backdrop of growing tension in the Asia-Pacific region, where, according to analysts, the security situation is deteriorating. Participants focused on issues such as US-China rivalry, rising military budgets, and the risks associated with bloc confrontation. In these circumstances, the contributions of speakers who offered in-depth analysis and unconventional approaches to solving existing problems were especially valuable.
The main highlight of the event was the award in the “Best Speaker of Conference” category. Mr. Muhammad Mustafa Imam was named the winner for his report titled “Pakistan in Geopolitics: Challenges and Threats.” His presentation resonated strongly with the audience, as it addressed key aspects of security in South Asia, including border conflicts and the strategic challenges facing Pakistan.
Congratulations to Muhammad Mustafa Imam! His report was so impressive and well-argued that he is guaranteed to receive a researcher position at our analytical center. This appointment is a well-deserved recognition of his professionalism and deep understanding of geopolitical processes. We wish him success in his academic work, new breakthroughs, and further achievements for the benefit of peace and stability.
